Are you ready for Roald Dahl Day?

At the CARLEE we are all huge fans of Roald Dahl’s books and poems and regulary use them as authentic materials in our B2 and C1 language and methodology classes. Tomorrow (13.9.17) is Roald Dahl day and his stories will be celebrated in schools all over the world. If you are looking for some incredible, hilarious, heart-warming or even terrifying tales to tell your pupils (or to read yourself to improve your English) then there will be a Roald Dahl book for you. If you would like to see some lesson plans for using his stories, then take a look at the following link (click on the picture).

As part of a course entitled “Practical Ideas for CLIL in primary- literacy”, Brian Aley, teacher at CEIP Hilarión Gimeno, gave a session at the CARLEE about literacy in years 5 and 6, together with ideas to bridge the transition to secondary. He kindly agreed to have his session recorded. So if you’re interested in the topic, you can watch his session below. He shared many interesting ideas both for primary and early secondary.
